We dined at you place on August 4. I was disappointed in the way we were treated. Our reservation was at 5:30 P.M. My husband and I have dined with you many times in the past, but this night was special as we were bringing along a friend for her 85th birthday. We all live in the neighborhood and like to frequent places we enjoy, especially if they are our neighbors. When we placed our orders we were told that both my husband's and my dinner dish could be made with no mushrooms. I get very sick from mushrooms even being on my dinner plate. We ordered both our dishes with no mushrooms. We even joked about being a `no mushroom family`. Drinks and salad were ordered as we waited for dinner to arrive. When dinner arrived I looked down at my plate, and my dinner plate was loaded with mushrooms. He was more okay about the error as he just pushed his mushrooms aside and ate his dinner. On the other hand, I got sick to my stomach to see my food swimming in mushrooms. The waitress was very nice and apologized many times for the mistake. She took my dinner plate back to the kitchen and told me another dinner would be made for me. As I waited for my second dinner to arrive my two dinner partners finished their dinners and had the leftovers wrapped to take home, even before my dinner came to the table. In poor taste I felt bad about eating in front of them while they were waiting for me, so I told the waitress to wrap my dinner to take home. It was a horrible evening for a special 85th birthday dinner, and a dinner out with friends and family in general. My dinner partners ordered dessert and then we left. I did not order dessert as I felt a bit sick to my stomach. I was very angry about the whole ordeal. For a establishment of your fine reputation I was extremely surprised that we we not offered a compensation for your error with my dinner order. Thank you in advance.
